Angmering Parish Council are currently reviewing their Neighbourhood Plan and welcomed residents to St Margaret’s Church Hall on 23 January 2020 to discuss the current plan and comment on the policies within it.

The Angmering Community Land Trust were also present advising residents about the Housing Needs Survey which will be delivered to their houses in the next few days and updating them on current projects. The survey was produced in conjunction with Angmering Parish Council and the results will also be used within the Neighbourhood Plan.

Residents were able to record their views on the vision, Angmering Assets of Community Value, area names and local green spaces. Councillors and staff were on hand to discuss local issues and advise how residents can become involved with the plan by joining working groups to discuss topic areas.

The process was set out on display boards as well as information regarding the working groups. 3 groups will be created and they will consist of councillors and members of the public.

Housing and Infrastructure.

Environment, Leisure and Green Spaces.

Community, Employment and Wellbeing.

The sign up response was encouraging and the comments and suggestions will all be collated and used within the working groups above.

There is still time to join a working group and get involved. Another Drop-in Session has been arranged for Saturday 8 February 2020 at the Angmering Community Centre from 14:00 - 16:00. If you are unable to attend this session, but would like more information, please contact the office and they will be more than happy to talk through the process and provide a volunteer form, if required.
